Russian lacquer box "The Snow Queen" was created by well known and talented artist Gromova from the village of Fedoskino. The painting is framed with golden border and the box is decorated with intricate golden ornaments on for sides.
The box is made from papier-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior. Lacquered box is hinged is on the left side of the scene. The work is signed with the artist's name at the right left corner of the lid.
The size of the box is 6.25" x 4.5" x 1.7"
