This traditioanal Russian lacquer box "Summer In The Old Forest" was painted in the town of Fedoskino by a very famous artist Golubenkova U.
Peaceful forest landscpe is painted in dark green, yellow and brown tones. The main focal point of the composition is small trail under th old tree.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. This beautiful box is hinged from the top f the lid and signed by the artist at the bottom of the composition in black oil paints. The size of the artwork is 4.25" x 3.5" x 1"
