Absolutely beautiful, high quality10 nest Russian nesting doll "Snowmaiden" was painted by the master artist Shevchuk from Moscow, Russia.
This gorgeous, large matryoshka shows the Snowmaiden surrounded by Father Frost and Mother Spring, standing in snowy winter forest. The palette of this masterpiece incorporates blue, red, orange and brown colors with addition of gold ornaments to make the artwork more festive. The artist demonstrates her unsurpassed skill while painting the Snowmaiden's face, different scenes from the folktale on each doll, outfit and gold lace texture of her beautiful kockoshnik( traditional medieval Russian headpiece). The doll is lacquered with many layers of shiny lacquer and signed with the artist's name on the bottom of the largest doll.
