Vintage Russian lacquer box "Evening Outing was hand made and hand painted in the village of Lipetsk by artist Pastukhova N. in late 1980's. The minature depicts two girls and a boy in traditional outfits dancing and singing on the outscirts of the village.
It looks like friends are having a lot of fun!
The box is made of papier mache, decorated with golden ornaments around the miniature and hinged from the left side of the lid. The art work is signed on the bottom of the lid.
The size of the lacquered box is 6.75" x 4.25" x 1.4"
Unfortunately there are no more artists left in the village of Lipetsk who paint these beautiful boxes which makes this box even more unique and collectible.
