This peaceful composition of a young girl washing a dog has been painted by talented Fedoskino artist Maria Galyamina. The artist has beautifuly painted the interior of the room, little girl, flowers, dog and a curious cat in tradition of old European masterpieces. Beautiful flowers are also painted on the side of the box. The sides and the bottom of the box are painted in burgundy color. Simple yet legant gold line embraces the exterior of the box while the burgundy lacquer completes the interior of the miniature box. The box is constructed from paiper-mache and hinged on the left side of the composition. The size of this lacquered box is 3.25" x 3.75" x 1.75". The box is igned with the name of the artist, the title, the village of Fedoskino, and the year of 2004 on the lid's interior in gold paints.
