This traditional Russian lacquered box "Peasant" was painted in the village of Palekh by Rodina L. in 1998. The box is in excellent condition and pinted with great detail. The box is made of papier mache, painted wit egg tempera paint and decorated wit gold leaf. Box is hinged on the top of the lid and sits on four legs. IThe artwork is signed on the bottom of the lid. The size of the lacquered miniature is3.75 x 3 x 1.25"
