The well-known Fedoskino artist Alexey Chirkov is the creator of this amazing lacquer box Mama Bear With Her Cubs. The artwork depicts happy bear family catching fish in the sparkly river for dinner.This box continues Chirkov's series of works dedicated to wildlife.
The whole scenery shimmers dramatically as it has been painted over a thin silver paint and mother-of-pearl. Gold paint is used to detail and highlight almost each element of the composition, especially details of the bears fur, river wawes, trees and the village in the background.. The details of the painting are amazing!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of composition, and the box rests on wavy platform. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, Fedoskino and the year of 2016.
