This very beautiful Russian lacquer box "Dreams" was painted by Smirnova M. in a style of Alphonse Mucha who was a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist famous for his distinctive style. His works featured beautiful young women in flowing robes. Artist often used pale pastel colors. Mucha became internationally famous after 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris. This gorgeous box was created in Fedoskino village, painted with oil paint on sparkling mother of pearl. Size of this lacquered miniature box is 3.8" x 3" x 1.2"
