This very cute Russian Matryoshka Nesting Doll is titled "Balalaika". This nesting doll is hand painted and hand made in Sergiyev Posad, Moscow (Zagorsk). The Matryoshka stands 10 inches tall and has a total of 10 pieces. The nesting doll is a symbol of Russian art and culture and is collectible. Each nesting doll features a different family members focusing on the grandpa with the Russian Balalaika (which is a type of folk guitar). This Matryoshka is also lacquered creating a beautiful shiny finish. This Matryoshka doll was painted by the artist Kurkin in 1997.
