Antique Russian Imperial silver & hand painted enamel cigarette case, 1898-1914.
Very rare & beautiful antique Russian silver case with an hand painted enameled pictorial fairy tale scene on the front, Alyonushka sitting on the shore of enchanted lake. The detail of the artwork is exquisite. The hinged case opens and closes smoothly with a gem stone button clasp, having a gilded interior marked MYUZ(Moscow Jewlery Workshop) and 875 Russian silver mark. The case is signed on the bottom with Fedoskino on the left and artists name Baryshnikov on the right.
Very good condition, no restoration, silver weight is 163 grams.
