Museum quality Russian nesting doll "Winter Ttroyka Ride By Anna Khomyak" is one of a kind work of art. This exquisite matryoshka is handpainted by the young and amazingly talented artist Anna Khomyak from St. Petersburg. The doll depicts Winter scenes from rural life of small town in central Russia long time ago. The tradition of riding troykas- three horses pulling the sled with people goes back many centuries, but is popular in modern times too. Each doll is painted with very fine detail and lovingly decorated all over with sparkly silver and golden flowers, ornaments and beads. This Russian beauty is definitely a must for a collector.
The doll is 10.5 inches tall(26.5 cm).
The artwork is covered with multiple layers of smooth shiny lacquer and is signed by the artist on the bottom of the largest doll.
