This very unique Russian lacquered box was painted by the well known Russian artist Karina from the village of Fedoskino, Russia. Karina is very well known for doing unusually themed boxes in even more unusual shapes. She typically focuses great efforts on making the shape of out the box the theme. She makes these boxes out of papier-mache, they all open and typically have a hidden hinge. The title of this box is "The Snail" and the box features a very beautiful and realistic snail. Karina also does an excellent job painting these boxes and making them look very realistic. The size of this unusual Russian lacquered box is 3.25" x 1.75" x 1.75". Karina's boxes are in very high demand and are quite difficult to get since she is the only artist who makes boxes like this. This lacquered box would make a great addition to any collection!
