This exquisite piece was hand-carved and hand-painted by one of Russia's most famous artists, Maria Nadejdina. Maria Nadejdina is very well known for her Russian wooden carved santas, and this is a very unique piece for her. It is a Nativity also carved out of solid wood and painted all over. This piece has amazing details, the faces and figures are painted in a similar style as to the old Russian artists. Nadejdina uses plenty of gold leaf to add a brilliant shine to certain details. This is a museum quality piece and the size of it is 7.5" x 3.5" x 10.5".
