This vintage Russian Matryoshka nesting doll was hand painted and hand made in Russia. The size of this nesting doll is 9.5" in height and 5" in diameter and the doll has a total of 10 nests. It's hard to find vintage dolls like these with this many pieces. This doll is titled "Russian Icon" and was painted by the artist V. A. Budarkov in the village of Sergiev Posad, Moscow in 1996. This doll was wood burned and made with Gold leaf.
