This vintage Russian Matryoshka nesting doll was hand painted and hand made in Russia. The size of this nesting doll is 11" in height and 5" in diameter and the doll has a total of ten nests. It's hard to find vintage dolls like these with this many pieces. This doll is titled "Ruslan and Ludmila" and based on the fairy tale. It was painted in the village of Sergiev Posad, Moscow by the artist Trafimov. This doll was also made with gold leaf.
