They are painted in a Russian Orthodox style and feature many scenes from the bible including: Mary, Jesus, St. Michael, St. Nicholas, St. John, and many others. All of our Religious Nesting Dolls are hand-painted, hand-made and signed by the artists. The dolls typically come from Sergiyev Posad which is not far from Moscow, Russia.
